  • Tried a few new techniques for this one so I hope you all like it! I talked about this on Twitter for a bit, but I've been dedicating a ton of time behind the scenes to learn 3D scene construction in hopes that it'll allow me to really open my topic range up for 2021 and onward. Daily, I pass up on tons of incredibly interesting cases that I'd love to cover, but have never really had a way to "show" anything. I apologize for this video being shorter than the norm - that's partly chalked up to the fact that I needed to test the waters to see if I could actually pull this stuff off. It took some work, but I'm thrilled that I was able to. With that being said, I'm already at work on the next one and while it'll be something you've probably heard of, I'm going to pull out all the stops and make the presentation wholly refreshing and unique. It's an incident that I've had on my whiteboard for like a year, and I've decided it's finally time. Run time will be more or less 35 minutes or so. ANYWAY, hope you enjoy. If you hate it then lemme know what I can do better and I'll take it into account moving forward. 🖤

  • Pretty sure David stayed home because it was an 800 mile round trip to go shopping for a weekend. See in cases like this I feel like a wife could easily of killed the husband or had him killed if she wanted to and had that evil in her. I’m not saying it’s the case here but in general I almost can guarantee a lot of wife’s/GFs got away with murder or having a partner murdered. Back a couple decades ago the world was so misogynistic that police/family/community wouldn’t even think a wife could have been involved in her husbands death.

    Yea RightYea Right22 tuntia sitten
  • I think he's left purposely to get his wife to report him missing so whoevers after him think he's gone. His plan was probably to go back & get his family & tell her not to report to the police then move away. On the surface it's a grieving wife getting away from it all. Maybe he did rent a car & left it somewhere to start hitchhiking to a phone & get a taxi. The car at the courthouse is set up to look like he was working there. The photo of the car might have been taken so he could check it for reference incase anyone messed about with it.

  • I have a question. Was there a notable right-wing militia presence in the Yakima area in 1993? The military surplus outfit would be typical for militia members. Considering how paranoid the militias are about government surveillance, getting rid of all of his ID and paying cash would put him "off the grid" for primitive surveillance of 1993. Militias require agents in respectable positions in society to handle the transport of money and other material by people the government considers beneath suspicion. A lawyer with no record would be useful contact for militias due to legally backed confidential protections lawyers enjoy. The plane tickets purchased in his name provide a false record, perhaps one to make it look as if he did go to the Super Bowl with his family. Then a ticket to Seattle in another name allows him to contact the militia with whatever assets he was to bring. Then when the militia drove him back to the airport, they abandoned by the road then came back and killed him in a manner to suggest it was an accident. Assuming of course the sherif deputies who found the body weren't members of the emsleves and killed David themselves and made up the details.

    • Side note: The act of photographing his car strongly indicates there was at least one other person involved with the events around his disappearance. One of the few realistic reasons to photograph your own car is to ghee the photograph to another person so they identify the car and it's approximate location. Perhaps the car was meant to be disposed of but someone failed to follow through?

  • This reminds me of that German lad who was on holiday and got an ear infection/issue after being in a scuffle. He got the medication for it but got increasingly panicked, and last time he was seen was him sprinting out of what I think was an airport and that was it. He said he thought people were after him and panicked and hasn't been seen since, but most likely was in his head and caused by the ear issue, perhaps something similar happened to this poor sod. Case just got to him, got paranoid then panicked.

  • I think he was very confident in showing the truth about the case he worked in, for personal reasons or not. But as it went own it got more dangerous and out of hand, the client was very wealthy and probably had a lot of power. Him taking pictures of his car and going to the airport without luggage makes me feel like he was trying to run away or things were starting to look bad. I've seen in comments about how he tried to show he was in town, with sandwiches and the VR recording. My theory is that as he went on the case started to be dangerous for him, he made a deal with someone that said that could help him get out of town. Making him take pictures of his car for maybe their request and receiving their money as a way to solidifying the deal. He was hiding from somebody. Leaving all his identification behind because he must have trusted whoever said was going to help bim. We dont know what happened or if that person betrayed him. But somehow in a last effort to escape, dressed in a disguised he went on the road to ask for help but was being hunted down by the person who wanted him dead and shot him before running away. The story is really convoluted but that what I think happened. He may have been cornered as both the client and the law firm are suspects and they are the only one we can confirm he had contact. He may have trusted one to run away from the other to only both of them want to get rid of him

  • Maybe it's just the military fatigues throwing me off, but in the years up to (and even after) the Oklahoma City Bombing there were a lot of militias cropping up, many of them anticipating some sort of end of the world scenario or government collapse. Does anyone know if they ever looked into that?

    Nabo42Nabo428 päivää sitten
  • Interesting. It feels like the key to solving this may reside in the "conflict of interest" lawsuit & the hit & run. So a quick research showed the location David was hit, on rt 24 near Moxee. The Camero stands out as odd & suspect. We are talking about early February, during winter, in a mountainous region. A camero owner normally wouldn't willingly drive it during winter. It's doubtful that the Camero is the only car that driver owns, from living in the Northwest US. The removal of David's ring & watch. I wonder if the watch was purposefully set to a time to show when he actually left. He most likely was forcefully made to leave. Maybe he left laundry as a clue, perhaps, that his previous partners are "leaving him out to dry"..... It's absolutely strange that David said he didn't go w/ his family due to wanting to record the Superbowl.....why record it when he was supposed to have been home to watch it live?? Again, it's like he left clues for his wife. Because of this, I wonder what the turkey sandwiches were made to signify, if anything. It feels like the wife knows more than she revealed, maybe due to fear or something else. My research uncovered a tie to all of this.... the actual lawsuit files, David had, were missing from his home & were never found. Also, David didn't actually own military fatigues; which was what he was wearing when he died. Him claiming to be sick at noon on the 28th was probably because contact was made to him about meeting someone or somewhere. The 1993 superbowl was played in the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena California. The LAX airport is fairly close, literally a taxi ride away. Was David or someone else making it appear he was attending the game in person? Or were the 2 separate return ticket locations meant to be clues as to who was threatening his life? I didn't look into his old partners to see where they practice law, so I'm just speculating. Now to the "coup de grâce".... the lawsuit. No known sources uncovered info on the suit or the end result. That's expected, since early 90s was not a time for transferring paper info into digital content. I'm sure court records would uncover this, but I don't have the authority to gain that info........ Anyways, the lawsuit was filed by a wealthy client to the old partners (hereby referred as "OPs"). The filing is about a "conflict of interest" that occurred w/ the OPs. David must have told his wife why he left the OPs for another firm or she has to have an idea for why.....hence why I believe she's hiding something. The wealthy client's gender is not revealed. Was it a scorned spouse that one of the OPs was involved with? What was the legal relationship between the wealthy client & the OPs? Marital divorce, financial portfolio, business law, what?? This answer would reveal so much on why David left & why he was threatened then killed. David's comment to his father suggests so much......about telling the truth "whoever" it hurts. Again, no tell for who it was aimed at. But it seems plausible that the OPs would be the ones who got hurt from the truth. It's also strange on how so much evidence to suggest foul play was involved went unbothered by the investigation teams. None seem to have pursued questions to the OPs. Confidentiality rules prohibit disclosure of clients; but it seems weird that no subpoenas were made to obtain phone records from David's office & the bank records from his account.
