Is there any place to live closer to the rink?
Viggbyholms IK - Flemingsbergs IK 15 - 4 Yikes!!
I whent traveling for a year and had no friends i loved it and heated it at the same time but it was worth it in the end
@Jim Cee yea trav who is it
would you like some cheese with that whine ?
Just a friendly reminder from a Swede. Don't put your shoes on the seats on the busses or trains. People hate that here and will look at you like a stupid douche.
I got my feet cut off last week so you won't have to deal with that again. The vlog is Daily now so I'll see ya for Mondays video ;)
Hopefully you go and pick up those pucks after practice.
Kids pick em up. Vet status. The vlog is Daily now so I'll see ya for Mondays video ;)
Go home then. Quit crying
You’re a great goalie Trav.. it’s hard leaving home.. I’m a goalie too keeping the mentality strong is rough.. just keep pushing bud. I’m rooting for you
I like to cry myself to sleep
stop whining and enjoy it , it will give you a lifetime of memories, and might I add, you are technically now a professional hockey player
MEMORIES INCOMING BUD
witch team are u playing for
ok
Flemingsberg IK
this dude claiming games were cancelled, go look at the team website, the other goalies have been playing, Travis with 0 games
I speak the truth bud
These are the memories you'll look back on years down the line and cherish. Embrace the suck and keep pushing through! Stay progressing and proving them wrong Trav!
Thank you brother!
Welcome to professional sports at a low level, you worked your ass off to get there and you want To run home? You’re being a pussy and you’ll regret it nut up pussy and enjoy where you’re at people would love to switch places with you and you don’t appreciate it..... grow a pair
Keep your head up dude.... I believe in you
I believe in your belief ;)
egg whites are usually stashed in the "proetin" isle in the fridge, usually with the like kvarg, proteinpudding etc usually in a plastic container
Apparently im retarded
This isolation shack is a social life death trap. Time to move close to a University area!!
Time to move into the UNIVERSITY!
What's up buddy. I went the other way going from Denmark to Canada for juniors, actually played on Sweeny's rival team lol. I was there for four years so I know where you're coming from missing home. The best advise I can give you is try not to talk to friends and family from back home everyday, that will make it worse. Live your life there and take in the culture instead of living your life back home through a screen. I hope it makes sense to you. Good luck this year!
@trav4oilers I played for Bradford Bulls in the GMHL, I played from 2016-2020
Where did ya play bud and when. Cheers
Maybe just enjoy that small windows of your life. Life is too short !
Small windows in the shack?
I got you with language issues. I will teach how to order at Burger King and McDonald’s 😂
You have already bro !
thoughts on lefevres new l12.2 in production
I'd love a set
I still cant believe that rink doesnt have pegs
I still can't either
@Zachary Cunningham yeah it actually states in the rule book that they must have pegs
@David Gunneby your prolly right tbh
Must be the only rink in Stockholm
You should be blessed still being able to play the greatest game on earth
I know lol covid baby
Dude grow up you have to learn to adapt if you wanna play pro
Thanks for the advice Scott!
“Open your mouth and say, ahh”. Cut scene.
You know whats up. Thanks for watching this video. new vlogs every Mon, Wed, Fri at 9am eastern. See ya fro tomorrows video ;)
Hang in there. Embrace that culture difference. Remember that is a business trip to play hockey. By the way Tim Horton isn’t that good. 😀
times are a changing
Ofc u can find eggwhites and oates .. Oates = Havregryn / Eggwhite = Äggvita
Much better! thanks man
I totally get you, I'm struggling with debt and little income because work has ben very slow thanks to covid and the hole pandemic shit. For the first time in like 10 years I have to pay for my ice time, I'm getting two hours training and one game on the weekends and its juts bliss as soon as I hit the ice al troubles disappear. keep the good work and that little night escapade...hope it repeats so you can sleep on an actual mattress. still wishing you the best luck. maybe you can search for a place on airbnb? cheer mate
Haha FIstream is my full time income bro. No sweat. New videos every Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern bro, see ya for tomorrows video ;p
Come home Travis we’re waiting for ya! And the sweet smell of that hot steaming delicious DD is waiting for you
@trav4oilers currently drinking one right now 😂 when u come home we should meet up and get a Tim’s coffee if you’re not busy! Would be great to meet you in person instead of videos
Somebody say Double double?
I think you really just need to change your living situation ASAP. I moved from the US to Sweden and ended up being there for 6 months because of the pandemic, it's definitely a super beautiful place, but your housing just seems way too stressful. Fix that and things will get better. Keep up the good work, Trav!
@trav4oilers Yeah, that was certainly a pretty big hurdle for me as well. Luckily most Swedes speak quite good English, I managed my way around without knowing much of the language. Just fire up some of those duolingo lessons and learn some basics, that's all I really did. Make friends with some of your teammates!
Not knowing anybody, not speaking swedish is a big hurdle man. New videos every Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern bro, see ya for tomorrows video ;p
looks like the team brought in two new goalies...they've both played regular season games and Trav hasn't... I feel bad for him, he is right back where he was in uni...no games, just practice... man Trav deserves to get some consistent games.... he has the ability but no one will ever give him a chance!!
@trav4oilers ill never stop watching.... I’m just so upset.... I’d hate to wish an injury on you, but maybe that’s what’s happened??? Maybe you’re hurt? ... i just want someone to let you play some damn games .... just look at the improvement from the first game you played to the second ... you have it in you, BUT like anyone - you need playing time. Anyways - please know we all are pulling for you, your game looks tremendous (I played Jr B in Ontario in from 2006-2008) I was no pro ... but I still feel like I can see when someone’s game is dialled in - and you sir, and dialled in
It'll all be explained in the vlog soon my friend. Thanks for watching, New videos every Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern bro, see ya for tomorrows video ;p
hockey just isn’t for you...
Apparently I suck lol Thanks for watching, New videos every Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern bro, see ya for tomorrows video ;p
Do you take your pegs with you between periods to the other net?
absolutely I do lol Thanks for watching, New videos every Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern bro, see ya for tomorrows video ;p
Been living abroad for almost 12 years - first years is the hardest, especially first three months - mostly because the language barrier. Go out to drinking with your team mates - you will see how quickly these cold sweedes will open up, hahaha.
@trav4oilers Can't be much of a language barrier when everyone caters to you by switching to your language. Imagine the opposite.
The language barrier is so intimidating man Thanks for watching, New videos every Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern bro, see ya for tomorrows video ;p
"Can't find egg whites" :D If you are willing to make french toast, and only using egg whites, you could just separate them your self. Not that hard :D
@trav4oilers and besides I agree that whole egg French toast is way to go :D
Whole egg French toast for the win baby
I think I'm over generalizing here but I feel that Russians, middle Europeans, whole America (North, middle, south) will be "pussies" moving abroad. Nordics will be fine most of the time. Of course we feel home sick, but it is not as bad. Just suck it up, generally Nordic countries are best in the world, you'll get used to it.
whats happening, yet to play a game. sum must have happened. checked ep, team has played 5 games and trav has not played a single one ;(
It'll all be on the vlog soon my friend. Thanks for watching, New videos every Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern bro, see ya for tomorrows video ;p
I know things are so different in Sweden than what you are used to, but there is one similarity--the ice, and what you've trained to do on it. Keep your eyes on that prize Trav. You will dominate once the games begin, just watch and see.
@trav4oilers I know it's similar but not exactly as you want it. There is the challenge: to over come that and dominate on the ice, once your games begin. Give it more time Trav.
Yes and no. It's similar but it's not.
Omg i saw myself in the video
What point
say what u want about trav but one thing is for sure. this guy fucks.... not even a month into sweden he’s already making breakfast for a swedish broad at her crib😳
Don’t listen to your GF I like when record everything ❤️🥺
I like it too!
Trav I got the blok dude I love it so much mine broke but got a free one and a bought a second one
Glad you love it bud!
Trav trav I felt the same way but when I went to Denmark for a week a couple days I never wanted to live but towards the end I wanted to leave so bad
Its a game changer eh
Yeah dude, when I moved to Finland it was so difficult.. So many little things I miss and big things like my mom but things even like poutine or other stuff.. Definitely miss Timmy Hos, hell I've even missed Walmart a few times (never in any time thought I would say that 😂) And i really miss a good Armstrong cheddar cheese 😋
@trav4oilers For sure bud.. So many things you don't think of missing until you can't get them.. Thankfully mom back in Vancouver sends packages 👍 mostly baby stuff but always goldfish crackers, mio drink mix and temptation cat treats for my boy 👍😅
It's a game changing dynamic eh
Oh.. And bagels!! Nearly impossible to find here.. Arctic frost Gatorade.. Sour patch kids.. So many things 😂 I don't know if available shipping in Sweden but there is a good website.. myamericanmarket.com .. Lots of drinks, canned or dry foods not usually available over here.. Even A&W root beer
Trav trav your my brotha ❤️ don’t ask questions
WHEEEEW
Still has the same chesty from 2017
Yes I do ;) new one this summer
Egg whites is available in practically any Ica or Coop store in sweden. Ask someone in the store and they will help you. By the way i love watching you vids buddy.
thanks bald3r
Trav's going d1 just keep the work up you'll get there
lol don't get exited
Your dad is a great man. I totally understand how challenging it is to be away, but surviving Sweden is the key to moving forward with your dream. I went to university in England. It was a combination of suffering and joy. I appreciate Canada more because I lived overseas. You will look back on this with contentment.
You know my dad? haha
Hey Trav. Don't know if you like country songs but you should listen to "6 feet apart" by Luke Combs. It's how we're all feeling right now. Keep on going though!!! Oh and I loved the "I got carrots, what is this a health spa?" Hahahaha
@trav4oilers There's a line in the song that says "I miss my mom, I miss my dad". You reminded me of that.
@trav4oilers I'm a rock guy but too much time on my hands during pandemic got me experimenting. Haha.
I ain't a country guy. Love grunge ;)
Don’t give brother stay focus Travis 😊👊🏽
@trav4oilers Travis 👊🏽😎
trying not
Gives a new meaning to Stockholm Syndrome! When I was stationed in Germany there was a lot of culture shock but you get used to it and find your own way. How is your stick situation looking?
Team is broke lol nuf said
Sorry chief but eating fast food can not be good for your game every day.
I don't crush it every day eh
You made a big decision coming here, hope you Stay and that things work out for you!
I hope so too man
What's with the cages and fella in the white bucket?
U18 kids
Understandable. I don't wanna sound negative but Sweden around the Stockholm area is a bit like the asshole of Sweden. If somebody said Malmo, I wouldn't argue against it either... You would honestly wanna go to somewhere between Gothenburg, Varmland and Dalarna, perhaps all the way up to Medelpad, Angermanland or Norrbotten. There's the places with the more real, chill people, more old-school hockey culture, less dead-inside asshats and more puck bunnies.
Bro you need to stop !! This is short term remember that Now I heard the same voice twice. She sound smoking hot too. You a bad man bro, listen let that blond bomber help you relieve your stress and just focus on making my N.Y. rangers lol. Love the quote I need to stand on my feet a little bit longer. Man that music to my ears.
@trav4oilers yea she does but on a hockey level, your looking better brother !!!
Shes has a pretty hot voice former hahah
Trav, did you ever think or get offers from teams in finland
Nothing on the table. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Dude what are you 5 years old throwing your stick like that having a tantrum. Your mental game is lacking. You give up a bad goal, forget it and focus on the next chance that you have to make a save, even if it's a practice! Physically it looks like you can make all the saves and movement needed, but you have to sharpen up your mental game. In some regards the mental aspect of goaltending is far more important to master then the physical aspect. If you are thinking about culture change too much, then you are already beating yourself mentally. When your not practicing, are your trying to bound and make new friends there to better adjust to the Swedish culture? Are you trying to learn the basics of the Swedish language? If no to any of these questions, then you should as it will help you be more focused.
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even play for flemingsberg anymore bc he hasn’t even been a backup tendy yet in a regular season game!
Will explain soon. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
that feeling of hockey being a cure all eventually goes away, at least it did for me because of not being physically able to play. Id give anything for it to still be. hold on to it for as long as you can. Curious how you like your teammates, hope there a cool bunch of guys.
Big culture barrier between Sweens and I and the swedes. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Come on man stop being selfish. I know it’s rough being away from everything you know but you know there’s people that would kill to continue their goaltending career. Plus it’s not just you on this journey it’s you and all your subscribers. By the way I know what you wanted to say when she said how am I supposed to eat that and you said open your mouth wide lol. Keep up the great content brother!
Its different when you're the one doing it man. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
I know this isn't going to be popular but here it goes. When I see someone is his mid-twenties putting his feet up on a bus/train seat that someone else will have to sit on later, I see someone who is immature, self absorbed and lacking character. You're a white, English-speaking male living in a white, modern city where 80% of the citizens speak English. Culture shock? Because the burgers at Burger King are different? Because rent's higher than it is in Winnipeg? You had a chance to have an experience of a lifetime and you're going to blow it off because you miss Tims. I'm sure there are other reasons that it's not working out. I see your team (former team?) allowed 68 shots last night. And maybe everything isn't working out like you hoped. But the "I miss home" line is, as someone said below, whiny. My son and I used to watch this channel for motivation (he's also a goalie). But recently it's a little too much "reality tv" and less than motivating.
@trav4oilers I know I came across a little harsh (which was intended) but I don't want to be seen as a "hater". As a former Winnipeger and a father of a young goalie, we were inspired by your journey. But down the road , you're going to regret giving up on this adventure too soon for this so called "culture shock". (I lived in Japan for a number of years. My first village was so small, I has to walk 30 minutes to the closest grocery store to buy food I didn't understand and couldn't read). Make your bed in the morning. Tighten up your game. Read and revise your goalie journal (too deep, going down too early and often, close up the 5 hole). Put first things first. Watch the Rocky Balboa motivation speech early and often. Ganbatte!
Appreciate the comment buddy but when you're the one doing it, it's different. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Enjoy the consistent vlog updates. Keep your head up, Trav! You've got our support.
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
You need to learn Swedish so you can do some chirping.
no chirping bud
Take a Break Trav!
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Why do you always fire pucks out of the rink?
just something I like doing
Gonna be straight to the point here Trav. Grow up. There’s so many people who wish they were in your position.
@trav4oilers I know how it is though. I’m playing juniors in the US, have seen two different teams and two complete different cultures from those organizations. Just gotta adapt, roll with it, and not look at the things we miss. Sure, are there things I can’t do that I could when I’m home, absolutely. I’m where I to stop pucks, get better, and advance. No need for you or I to complain about the slight downsides of being in an unfamiliar place. Coaches/scouts don’t want to hear that. There’s a difference between, “I miss home”, and “I want to go home”
It's different when you're in the fire bud. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Word on the street is, Preparation H is the same In Sweden as it is in North America.
@trav4oilers Google it 🤣 🚑💊----> ( )✸( )
H?
dont worry trav, you will get acclimated soon enough and youll love it
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Makes you humble and appreciate what we have in states / Canada. We’re spoiled
Really really does
Was that spam?
this is. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Dude you play club hockey just go home
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
It doesn't look like your enjoying playing just by your body language in net your super robotic your hands are not very active you rely to much on glove positioning instead of using that positioning as a base for making your reactions better basically very stiff but like I said doesn't look like your having fun playing
North American style. Stop and Blok
Did Buttendz stop making the Sentry?
Currenrlyt out of stock. More coming soon
Talk to your team mates and see if they don't know about a better living situation for you guys. Don't give up.
@trav4oilers that's super shitty. I hope things improve for you. Love your determination and hard work. Proves that you are a good person and not a quitter. Your game has improved so much. Keep grinding brother.
Nobody helped with the living
Congrats on 70k !
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
try not to come off like you are whining about being there. Its ok to miss home and family especially if this is your first time away but put it differently like you have struggled with the separation and miss family this way it comes off better for you. Big cities aren't cheap to live in and here in Toronto a 1 bedroom apartment average is just over $1,900 and a 2 bed is over $2,500. Maybe reduce your time at editing and recording and focus on trying to find a better place to live. Oh and nothing is better on your stress than making dinner and breakfast for someone...LOL try to look at this as a huge life experience and not a negative one. Sure you can feel the way you do and those are real feelings but just try and stay a little bit more focused on the overall experience. stay safe
Easier said than done, its different when you're the one doing it. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
I know the feeling all thou i did the reverse and moved from Stockholm to Montreal. Hang in there and you will not regret it, living in a new culture where everything is a bit alien turns out to be very very rewarding and home is still there and obe day you will be back (i say that 6years later now with a canadian wife and 2 kids....)
Montreal sucks lol take it from a Canadian
maybe try to network with other teams while you're there... find out what's going on in Finland, Czeck, Germany etc.. probably all just a few hours train ride away
expensive trains
I played 7 years in Switzerland ... 1st time away from Canada ... it's natural to miss what's familiar and be critical of what "sucks". Just remember, you're living in a highly-developed country compared to others that really suck. You probably won't be there for life so do yourself a favour and don't let the differences get to you which will negatively affect your Swedish experience and your game. It's a mistake to say to yourself that Sweden isn't as good as Canada; it's just different. Enjoy the experience because most Canadians will never get the chance that you have to live outside of Canada.
It's a culture shock man. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
How is there no pegs in the rinks LOL do they just knock the nets off all day everyday?? My peewee team couldn't even make it through a game without pegs
welcome to flemigsbrg
I truly feel for you there. The ice time is what you are there for. You've got to get out and experience the culture and develop something that will take your mind off of North America. I live in Arizona and believe it or not, I miss TimBits from Tim Horton's too. Lol. Good Luck!
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
At the end of the day i’m just trying to do what’s right and eat some burger king with cheese
A Burger King bacon cheese king *****
I was gonna say u better not to home lol u came this far don’t give up now keep going it’s worth it
True hopefully when u are coming home it’s to take it to the next stage
Time will tell whats happening
Keep it going bud..keep it going
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Love ya Trav however if you aren't getting paid its not professional hockey. The definition of being a pro is getting paid to play. seems like its a glorified beer league over there. team doesn't even have uniforms that match.
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
There is know place like home bud that's for sure. But hang in there. Just stay focused on what you went there for.
love Winnipeg
Ordered the manscape kit after your last video and used your code. Got it in the mail today. Figured I could shave my boys and also support you since I use add blocker. Mostly because I really dislike youtube's policies on monetization yet they run adds on de-monetized videos and make money but don't pay content creators.
You my friend will have silky smooth balls AND you're awesome
Whatever you do, don't quit!
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
bruh 15-4 how???
I wasn't in net. Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
7:05 vad sa vi om fötterna! Fy på dig!
@trav4oilers Don’t put your feet on the seats. That what’s old ladies tells you as soon as you put your feets up. Fy på dig is what you say to someone doing something naughty.
English?
Focus on the goals, my son is having same issue but he is only 2 hours away. So who's the lady ?
hahah she doesnt want her face in but said I could use her voice
Your so called apartment sucks. So easy to find another one.
You worked this hard to get there, youre looking good too keep it up man dont let that negativity get to you 👌🏻
@trav4oilers Always
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Trav your 1 of the strongest people I got in my life bro, and I know you can do anything. YOUR THE BEST. Always will I believe in you!!❤️❤️

Not much hockey is being played here in Canada well atleast as I know Ontario is only 10 skaters so if ur down to swap roles I’m up for it
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
It's me in the ending!
@trav4oilers I like every video you upload and I actually love watching your journey event tho I'm not a big fan of hockey. Keep grinding bro!
SUP BUD
Just don’t give up. You’ve worked way too hard to quit now.
Time will tell
Hang in there bro the rink is all that matters right now! You’re doing great!!
Thanks for watching bud. New videos Mon, Wed, Fri 9am eastern. Hope to see ya for Monday ;)
Haha you’ll come to love Sweden but you’ve to be living in a decent apartment and play in a decent team hahaha. Just eat some hot dogs and grind bro’ it will be OK
FRENCH DOUBLE
Those two on two battle drills are awesome.
