  • Woah, I didn't even know you could tear your lat like that

    William AdnyanaWilliam Adnyana34 minuuttia sitten
  • Nick should take this as a sign and gear towards lighter lifting more cardio and just being health oriented

  • It was his lat or his head! Turned so red it was about to blow!

    Jason GrantJason Grant14 tuntia sitten
  • Serious question: at 1:22 you can see his face quickly turning red (a very intense red) just for bending down (he hasn't even started the lift). Is this "normal", in some way? Or there is something wrong for sure?

    Frederic BontempsFrederic Bontemps16 tuntia sitten
  • Mixed grip is a sure fire way to tear a lat or bicep. Typically on the underhand side.

  • Amazing lifts! Great video, but you should not lead by saying "Powerlifting is a very dangerous sport" - that's ridiculous! Muscle injuries can happen in any sport, and powerlifting is less dangerous than many others (think football concussions, hockey fights, race car crashes, horse back riding falls, etc).

  • I feel bad for the guy, that's a terrifying injury and will affect so many exercises now. Maybe he should look into a healthier form of exercise after this because he looks absolutely terrible for a 52 year old who is into exercise.

    Yousef OdehYousef Odeh5 päivää sitten
    • @Yousef Odeh I'm sure it didn't feel good, but like I said, when it tears, there is no longer tension on the muscle, so it doesn't hurt, and the muscle belly itself has hardly any nerves. It hurts no way near as bad as a partial strain. Just something interesting to know.

      BenBenPäivä sitten
    • @Ben oh word? But surely at his level and age it must have hurt?

      Yousef OdehYousef OdehPäivä sitten
    • Surprisingly, tears hardly hurt at all, I torn a small muscle and it actually felt really good, it was relief, because muscles don't have much nerves, and once they're torn, all tension comes off them.

      BenBenPäivä sitten
  • Ahhh. Poor Nick. I really like him cause he is just everywhere, steps in for ppl and never gives up. Lattear at 52 sucks. I hope he makes a full recovery.
