Mic'd up Practice Round at Maple Hill Diamond Layout with Gatekeeper Media - F9
In this two part video Gatekeeper Media and I are bringing you a look at the Diamond layout at my favorite course, Maple Hill. In this practice round I am mic'd up and sharing my insights on why I am throwing which disc and why I am taking the lines I am. If you enjoy this front nine make sure you check out the back nine over on Gatekeepers channel: fistream.info/stream/9a1V9evArQaHOlkqeY63Iw.html

I really enjoy the confidence combined with humbleness. Very informative. Natural talent on the course with an equal ability to explain complicated things in a way that can be understood by others.
Thank you
Every video you have taught me something in my I needed to either see and needed to see that I have been messing up on
Is Paige Pierce single??👀
I appreciate the footage of Paige fishing her disc out of the drink. It's nice to know pro's love their discs enough to go swimming for them like the rest of us.
You should do a video on standstills. I always wonder: is it the lead leg in a standstill that pulls the weight forward, or does the back leg push the weight forward and the lead leg goes after. Any advice?
Great channel! You have a new sub. Have you checked SMZeus”dot”com??! Lot’s of channels are using it to promote their videos.
not gonna lie, slight crushin on Paige
Is it weird when the camera people don't talk back to you? I think it would be weird!
They talk back, but we can't hear them since they aren't mic'ed. They're not carrying a boom.
MORE OF THIS PLEASE.
Soul or Buzz would depend on the wind I would say
I haven't kept up with every course you've played but if you are ever in the northern Wisconsin area, check out the World's Largest Disc Golf Complex Highbridge Hills. Great place to go camping and 24 hour disc golf. It's about 15 miles south of Ashland which is right off the south shore of Lake Superior.
Great Vid. Really great to hear your thoughts on what you are thinking and trying to do for each hole prior to the Tournament start!
Is Paige married? BF? What’s the deal?
Thirsty bruh?
These are incredible!
You should throw the Buzzz. Literally when you were "deciding between Sol and Buzz" I started talking out loud about how the Sol would be a great disc here, but its so much touch to get it to go just perfect on this kind of a straight line. I say go with the Buzzz and give it a good rip with your confidant turnover release. Then again, tournament day is a whole different vibe and you gotta feel it in the moment to make the best judgement.
8k views...hmmm maybe cbs should see this FPO and Paige Pierce rocks
Pro course's should provide a disc rake on water holes.not have the player find a stick?
@Paige Pierce : Hole 2, if the left->right wind is too strong I would go with SOL. Since turning over a buzzz into a wind is scaary. Otherwise I'd trust the Buzz ;)
Paige needs another cryztal fierce!!
Loved it make some more when you do practice rounds
It is so impressive how you use your leg strength to put the power into your longer putts. Honestly in your drives as well.😲😁
"My favorite thing about this course is you throw every disc in the bag!" Then pretty much just throws Crystal Fierce the whole time. 😄
Excellent breakdown video. Thanks, Paige!
I got a snake man one time I fed it some beer man it was slivering this way and that. It was all fucked up
My vote is Sol on hole 2. You've had a lot of good shots with that disc lately.
Great vid Paige! Love the insight into your practice and preparation!
I say go buzzz on hole 2. just rip on it and it'll hold straight the whole way. this is awesome seeing you throw shots in a much more relaxed manner and talking us through your mindset. i hope you do this every single tournament. i also like that you keep the commentary going the whole time. sometimes i get up and stop watching, but keep the video going and its nice being able to listen to you describe the shot as youre throwing it. keep these up, theyre great.
On hole 2 the buzz from the back camera looked like it was going in. Beautiful line
I actually prefer this over the after round review videos. Those move so fast you don't have time to do much more than describe what we're seeing, maybe mention the disc. With this practice round we can learn a whole lot more from you.
5:10 The Buzzz with the late fade back is always a good call for me. But I’m barely even playing the same game as you... 😂
Yeah I'm with you. Also a slightly beat up XL cqn be q solid 1 to. Learned it from a friend
Go Paige ❤️
I would throw my buzzz on hole 2, but it's my personal bread and butter.
Hole 5: Fillet of Sol. Wow! 👍
I'd wife her 🤷♂️
Sol on #2
Hole 9 sign says par 3. Gatekeeper has it as a 4 as well as Jomez in the Jerm and Uli practice round, and on the live it was a 4. So it’s a 4 for the tournament. It’s also a 4 in Birdie the board game. Is the par 3 a new thing this year for casual play?
Love this!
Love the insight on how you approach practice rounds
Awesome to hear what goes into your preparation! Good luck!
"I just got this new Nuke and I want to try it out" Any casual player who says that on a water hole would not be getting that disc back.
Especially that hole. I've lost many a disc in that pond lol
i would not lol
Definitely the buzzz on hole 2. Better to potentially drift a little left than turn over too hard, go ob right in the fairway, and have a huge par putt or bogey layup
Sol on #2. You'll know early if you've got your touch going.
Paige you are now producing quality content 5 days every week, with tournament performances, commentary on tournament rounds, "caddy" perspective videos, and now these practice rounds! No one is doing more than you are for disc golf and the fans.
Buzzz on hole 2, that way if you encounter a headwind you have some more stability to save you if necessary
That was cool, loved it!
Love to see you using the SOL!! My favorite.
It's very nice to get mic'd up versionsa of practice rounds and competitions more and more
The number of times I watch Paige play and think "My gosh, she's so good." Those putts, wow!
great video
Im just here for the moans realy.
Sol looks better on #2--just keep your aim point a little left of center like you did here. Unless there's a headwind!
Good luck in the tournament
First! Pumped to watch this!
