  • We can rest assured Shivlyakov's has never left anything on the table in his strength pursuits. Mentally the man gives up nothing to anyone. If he doesn't ever pull 500kg it will have nothing to do with a lack of effort or will power. Outstanding performance.

  • Nice that Heinla is just telling everyone straight out that he has not trained and prepared for this heavy deadlift max, but will start training for it now... Well awesome that WUS gave you a chance to showcase, that you were no where near ready Heinla!!

    ThomasSFHThomasSFHUukausi sitten
    • It was obvious though - he only just did the deadlift for reps recently, so clearly couldn't do extra training for this. The question was how much did he have in the tank when training for reps. It seemed like he could have maybe got to 470 today which is still pretty high for 'no training'! Look forward to seeing the next attempt

  • Hafthor is such a gentleman & a class act! And he is still the Strongest Man of All-time! Anyway, I thought Ivan was truly amazing and he definitely has it there in his tank, but not today. He must recover and try again... I think Rauno also has about 470 - 480 in his tank. He should prepare well because DL for Max is DL for Max. And OMG Mikhail Shivlyakov!!! He even gave Hafthor goosebumps! In my humble opinion, this 436 Masters Deadlift World Record is the 2nd Greatest Deadlift of All-time! He is 40 and he is truly a Lion and a Warrior and a 1 in Billion! What a day for the World of Strength...

    • My 10 Favourite Strength athletes in no particular order are: Hafthor Bjornsson, Zydrunas Savickas, Brian Shaw, Bill Kazmaier, Jon Pall Sigmarsson, Magnus ver Magnusson, Mariusz Pudzianowski, Jouko Ahola, Magnus Samuelsson & Ronnie Coleman (Yes, Ronnie Coleman because no other human being who ever lived can leg press 2,400 lbs when you are shredded to the bone and carbs depleted and he has some inhumanely strong lifts which even put elite strongmen to shame).
