Ferrari 458 Italia | Best Car for Teenagers

190 368 Näkymät

We review the Ferrari 458 Italia Supercar to determine if the nearly $200,000 price tag is worth it. We discuss all of the technical info, good and bad, and argue whether the excitement and badge make up for the high risks of used Ferrari ownership. With 562HP it's more than enough to get wild, but with cars like the Porsche GT3, Mercedes AMG GT, Corvette C8, and Shelby Mustang GT500 this may be a tough sell.

  • I own this car since 2011, to be honest: BMW and Mercedes have a better navigation and other electronic features. But when it comes to driving, revving, feeling like a formula 1 race , this car is and will remain unbeatable! And, by the way, I am also satisfied with the quality of the car and cannot confirm the alleged defects shown in your movie. Summary: this car is an all-time great!

  • I agree completely. Seeing a 60 year old in these cars is sad in my opinion. I had my sportscars when I was 16-23 and now prefer cushy RR sedans in my old age (43yrs). I can't imagine how I used to drive these things for my only transport. But as a child, we were reckless, street racing for money, always letting friends borrow car and do doughnuts, etc. As an old man, I can't get in without hurting myself. would be neat to have the copilot fly a drone above the road to make sure no traffic or law was coming. you could do this all day long.

  • Gr8 video... I own a 2011 458 italia in Rosso Mugello. Hands down it is a drivers car that is (at least for me) extremely reliable. I only listen to people that actually own and drive the car. The greatset joy of this vehicle is storing it up for a few weeks and then going to pick it up to go driving for the day. Don't get hung up on the interior. Most of it came from Fiat I'm sure. I kind of like it. Most cars have so many computers and tech now it robs you of the driving experience. Once nice part about the car is that you can actually work on it yourself if you chose. Most cars now you can't touch. Peace. Honk if you see me around Atlanta. Scott

  • It’s funny, you said that it had column mounted shifters like it’s a bad thing. I’ve would say that’s how its meant to be, especially being a road car because in hairpin turns you need to know where the paddles are. Also; you don’t need to switch hands to shift lol, idk what you’re tryna say there 😂

  • I like how the speedometer is blacked out, but you can still estimate their average speed by counting the number of electrical poles they pass in a specific time interval, then assuming that there is about 300 feet between poles. Using this method, it can be assumed that the average speed between time 16:35 and 16:39 was anywhere between 122mph and 135mph. That is a quick and stable car. A more affordable car like a WRX could probably only "comfortably" do about 85MPH down that country road.

I remember he chose a white 458 with black accents. Man was it gorgeous. I had been infatuated with the 458 since its release! Thankfully I never felt jealous, I actually felt really excited for him and that moment has motivated me more in life than I ever thought it would! Cheers!

  • I'm not sure why they think that everything on this car requires engine out, transmission out Sounds like they're just perpetuating those Ferrari myths from the 90s that haven't been true since the F355. I know people who have 40k-60k miles on these cars and have no issues with them, and you can do just about anything short of a full engine or transmission rebuild without removing them from the car. FUD FUD FUD.

  • A savage goose will tell you what the Ferrari is. The sound is incomparable. The tach lights on the steering wheel are very cool. The owner likely doesn't want a sixth light on the video or anywhere else. Out of body experience. That's why it's for teens. This car argues for whether or not a stick shift is needed to be a driver's car. AF
