Complexity's Unexpected Roster Shake-up - Through The Smoke | S2 E6 (Season Finale)

Join the Complexity CSGO team for their extended stay in Europe during these uncertain times. The team played in Dreamhack Open Summer 2020 where they saw results until the semi finals where they fell to Heroic. Complexity also played the ESL One Cologne 2020 online tournament where they didn’t make it as far as they had hoped, losing to Heroic once again. In ESL Pro League Season 12, Complexity CS:GO faced Astralis, NIP, Team Spirit, FNATIC, Mousesports, and Team Vitality. As the team stayed in Europe, OBO felt increasingly overwhelmed by the extended time away from his friends and family. OBO decided to step down from the team while Natosaphix joined as a stand-in. At ESL Pro League Playoffs, Complexity successfully defeated Ence but fell to Navi and Astralis. Complexity CSGO proceeded to IEM New York where they secured a win against G2, but later fell to Vitality and Fnatic. Shortly after, JKS joined the team as the official 5th man.

  • with CS current state Obo might have made the worst decision in his life. A lot of these players have had to move away from family and friends but its part of the job of being a CS player.

  • Great series - be cool to see more behind the scenes stuff with the guys living in London, know they're in lockdown now but what, if anything, they get up to in their spare time?

    A MA M2 kuukautta sitten
  • Kid or Not that is a shit & dickless move man, Obo parents also fail to raise this kid as a total quitter man.. 1st, is not like his living condition in london is bad he has a lot of good people around him to look after whatever he needs & all is taken care of in a good environment there. 2nd, Money, this is a dream job for a lot of esport player to be in his shoes just like what rush said, this was one in a 10 million opportunity what he’s getting and he just took it for granted. 3rd, the way he left was the worst ever he couldn’t just hold out 2 weeks?? For what complexity and everyone else around him has done and given to him he couldn’t just do that?? All he needs to do is stay for 14 fucking days more and leave on good terms, that way he can maintain good relationship, image & reputation and still open a lot of doors for other opportunities. Now, everyone including future employer in the industry knows this and he has tanked all possible opportunities.. well done deep shit.. 17 is young yes i agree but honestly not that young to be that fucking stupid..

    • Obo lied about when he was leaving He said he would finish the tourney that was worth quite a bit of money and idk how you can't wait another week or two with the chance of gaining thousands to tens of thousands more.... I don't blame rush for feeling the way he did, I'm sure if obo apologized and tried to make it up to him it could workout but obo ruined so many chances for the team and overall just screwed them for the next few tournaments

  • Thats a really rough take from Rush there. It's a 17 year old kid who's a professional counter strike player. He's 17, and it's tough to be honest emotionally, but on top of that, he was playing Counter-Strike 10 hours a day when others his age were doing normal teenager stuff. It is really hard to be emotionally open and honest at that age, esp. if you aren't used to it

    Morgan TranMorgan Tran2 kuukautta sitten
    • Mate this is top cs, you need to show full dedication

      PunyA PunyAPunyA PunyA2 kuukautta sitten
    • not rough at all, stop being a snowflake, he was just being honest

      Maneesh ReddyManeesh Reddy2 kuukautta sitten
    • Yes, I agree. But i can definitely see Rush's point of view. They worked things out and didnt have any problems with it but then he left early without any notice. They then had to play with coach and bombed out of the tournament. These guys work really hard so it really sucks for them. Its a shitty situation but i can understand where Rush is coming from.

  • Understandable that people feel betrayed by oBo, I was once a homesick kid and when you feel like that, nothing else matters in the world but getting home. The right thing to do would have been talk about his feelings earlier - before he was at breaking point - to create a transition plan before it's too late. Hard for a 17yo to do all of that, though. Shame how it turned out. Hope oBo and RUSH can patch things up someday.

    • @MrChris00078 lul xD I understand your point perfectly. But I don't agree, so why should I "take it onboard"? Also, I'm not biased, as I've said already. I liked both players and the whole team before seeing this and I've no connection to any of them. But if you're using some personal definition of bias, let me know. Yes, I know I made the part about "this little shit..." up, you weirdo. It was an exaggeration made in an argument to prove a point, jeez Louise. Clearly you haven't grasped a word of what I'm trying to say here. The gist of which is that I can't understand how Rush can be so mad about oBo leaving that he won't talk to him. Or rather, I can believe it, but I think it's incredibly insensitive and immature. Especially if Rush considered oBo a friend. If any friend of mine suddenly acted like oBo did, I'd want to talk to them and ask how they were doing. Of course 17 year olds are capable of taking responsibility. What I was saying, and what you seem incapable of understanding, is that at 17 you're still very young. Many if not most 17 year olds aren't fully developed mentally and socially and thus can't always deal with emotional stress the way an adult (hopefully) can. Irrational behavior is to be expected when someone feels like they don't have control of the situation.
