These are the asteroids to worry about

I learnt more from this than school for 10 years.
Great video, but what about astroids from outside of the solar system, which are quite fast and hard to detect? This adds another chance, very small but they have a lot of energy.
Good so far (half-through) but only the non-avian dinosaurs got wiped out.
Rocks and dust clumped together 4.5 billion years ago? 😂 Where did the rocks and dust cone from? In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth.
So we can't blow up an asteroid but what if instead of detonating a bomb on it we instead detonated multiple bombs close to it so the shockwave pushes it off course
I'm no worried because all these asteroids happens only in Russia or USA like on the movies
Why do you think we haven't been contacted by aliens once a species becomes intelligent and technologically advanced they most likely destroy themselves or get wiped out by some space rock
The truthful creditor pivotally smell because married compellingly scold after a strange chin. fallacious, breakable argentina
Here's a way that a nuclear device can prevent the asteroid smashing into the earth: the device is detonated when the asteroid is just close enough to impact so that it doesn't have enough time to re-coalesce before arrival time.
Looking forward to NASA DART Mission ....
Well first off if a big astroid would come to earth we would probably get some nukes to try to blow the astroid up so if it comes down to earth it would just burn up in the atmosphere
5:16 "20m, roughly the width of 2 school buses." Where in the world do you have 10m wide school buses? :-p
Thanks for sharing with us 👍🏼
It's kinda scary if you think about it, we basically can just hope that no asteroid will hit you.
He looks like elon musk
My life is a lie. I thought Nuking is the solution, just like what the guys in Armageddon did.
Why almost all prof i seen must be half bald hair?🤔
this was posted on my birthday
I got an ad earth be exploding
Russia also got hit by Tunguska. That's because they cover so much of the Northern Hemisphere in a civilized area.
And 2020 had more space rock impacts than ever.
that model of planet formation has been around since I studied Astronomy in 1969 and it needs revision. There are way to many papers written on how the process described here just could not work like that. So, bombing it may not be as bad an idea as that. First, the gravity would be very week with objects that size. Not all the material would gather back together. Even if most did, they would not be cemented together. As he said a rubble pile. Upon entry of the atmosphere they would separate easily, and each piece would suffer the effects of friction separately, and you would have pieces of considerably less mass upon impact. Gotta get that bomb to do some pretty significant pulverizing though.
Hey I’m a kid that happened when I was three days born
what if a 10 kilomitre asteroid hits in the midlel of the osean????
To busy, To greedy, to do something about the asteroids to busy taking money from the mayor of Moscow's wife ore the chines
poor dinosaurs

I’m here because I had a dream last night that central Africa got hit by an asteroid but I could feel it in Canada and it was totally exaggerated cuz the earth started spinning faster and I could see the light from the explosion and it felt like we were knocked off earths orbit. It was literally the scariest dream I’ve ever had so now I’m obsessing about it
Lol😂
You need to read the Bible son!!! You are confused! Repent Be baptized everyone of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
What agplens if there is a asteroid that could end life Me who just watched salvation: Idk ma could be a HuMiNg BiRd
There's a major part left out, the reason the Barringer event was so devastating, given it's small size, was BECAUSE it was iron. Had it been a stony rubble pile, there would be nothing there today. Quite a difference. So a city-sized or 800m iron meteor would be enough to cause the deaths of half the planet by the time all damage from nuclear winter, economic (imagine a Great Depression x4 in depth and world-wide), starvation, disease, etc, is factored in.

Yeah i don't worry about things outside of my control. I lay it on the Lord.
That one moment I realise that any hundred metre meteor/asteroid would completely obliterate my entire country. Ah well, now I'm panicking.
He asked what could we do if a BIG ASS SPACE ROCK COMES AND HITS US ....what would u do if u WAS ODE FEININ FOR ICE CREAM ON A HOT SUMMER DAY AND U DROP IT .......... NOTHING U SIT THERE AND LIFE IS OVER 😐
That got dark sorry 😅😂

My family visited the Arizona crater in 50s. We all knew and the tourist office also said that it was a meteor crater. Never heard anyone suggest it was a result of a volcano.
I was hoping for a small up-to-date catalogue and review of asteroids such as the "Apophis" one. Didn't get one.

I don't want to die
imagine if mars collides into earth
But if we lonch a megnet it vill turn a astroid becou it' s iron

But why can't other nations send missiles to hit 1-2km asteroids by tracing it's trajectory when they are closer to Earth(Like when they are just above Earth surface) It will atleast minimize the focused damge ryt? 🤔🤨🧐
@Frustrated Student Possibly but it depends when we found it, how close it is, where it is going and that is IF our predictions are correct. Also it could send many small asteroids . But then again I'm not a meteorologist
@J. B. but isn't it a gud sol n ?
Its not that simple
This planet can go at anytime and left remaining in the universe are trillions of other planets exactly like ours but each planet will have humans that speak different languages, wear different hair styles and clothes, and have different rock and pop bands, and different movies and videogames.
Now I want a T-Rex skull.
You only get to live once so make the best of it we can die at any minute keep safe
So, you are telling me that the big bang took place BILLIONS of years ago, and this piece of rock/metal is part of a planet from that explosion... soooo, that little rock has been floating around the universe for BILLIONS OF YEARS?!? Your brain is fried, man.
Its a rock floating in space, its not like it needs water or food to survive. Also a lot of planets collided and are colliding even now . You have your brain fried, except if I'm completely wrong which i don't think so
I love when they say "this asteroid is about 4.5 billions years old." Like they know the actual age of the rock. Not 2, not 3, not 5 billions years old...4.5. Lol.
They count the candles on its cake bruh
Reminds me about the Colossal titan kicking a hole in the wall Imao

14:25 "and, this could happen tomorrow?" *[softly] don't...*
Nuking an asteroid should not be disregarded. I believe it's the most viable approach and doing in near proximity to Earth's atmosphere would prevent the chunks from clumping back together, allowing a greater surface area of Earth's atmosphere to burn the chunks.
I feel sad when thinking about how dinosaurs would have felt back then...
Lmao nice name.
