#jomezpro #discgolf Why are you still reading this? Get out and play some Disc Golf!
Jeff Fayes looks like a full sized Lord Farquaad with his head band off.
On #8, if they made the wall distance shorter, it would favor the long arms too much, I think.
‘That’s a working man’s four for Paul there’
This just popped up on my FIstream feed and I love it 😭😭😭 That Jomez intro is classic ! Plus Nate and Big Jerm? 🙌🤟 I miss playing and I miss the coverage 😭😭
i'm 96% from 6ft away and not even pdga rated so not sure why these guys find it so hard to make clutch putts
lol the Jeremy ad at 15:10 just followed by the sigh
Great video Jomez as always! I'm a forehand thrower on all my drives (I throw backend on putt and my up-shot + approach shots depend on distance) and this course would not be a good 1 for me. I play in wooded courses like 95%-live in the southeast. This course would frustrate me horribly.
27:00 wasn’t that a foot fault falling over your putt?
What a JIP, playing at a golf ball course when there's an amazing disc course right down the street! I'm sure the "pro's" want this instead of the real disc course, which is right down the street, so they can throw the 500ft drives but there's something to be said about disc control. I for one, suggest a pro open the weekend before Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival.
The San Francisco Safari (all divisions) is traditionally the week before HSB.
Jermy Sex commentary is the best.
A new car
I think those elevated baskets are the stupidest thing ever to be added into disc golf. If its naturally elevate on top of a hill or somewthin then so be it but intentionally adding 2 feet onto its height is pretty ridiculous.
Why is it called the San Francisco Open if it's in the East Bay? Its kind of like having the US Open in Vancouver. GG Park is such a great course it's a shame they didn't use it for this tournament.
Gleneagles Disc Golf Course is in San Francisco. Chabot is the course in Oakland. We would love to host the event at GG but it doesn't really have the challenge for top pros. Plus there is no infrastructure at GG (bathrooms, power, etc.).
love Jomez production but I wish they mentioned the discs molds! give these guys a cheat sheet of what disc these players bag
Disc golf is so fun and id love a new destroyer
I love Big Sexy commentary, and I love your stamped discs even more! May I please acquire one, or two?!
At 25:18 Nate Sexton refers to Eagle as “Thin young bird” but when I first heard it I was like, “That’s a cool ass Asian name” 🤣🤣🤣 I can’t be the only one
Duuuude. Drew's putter has more traction than my Jeep. That was a brutal Double Bogey.
That park job by Conrad on hole 4 was amazing.
Hole 5 that's gotta be more than 60ft drop right?
fistream.info/work/videot/mNOBkMS6h4nMz3k Maceman on TPIR, Here's the old pdga discussion thread where they name everyone that was there. www.pdga.com/discussion/archive/t-24483.html
I wonder if watching Drew Gibson get the hill special for a triple bogey affects Big Sexy in their rounds the next day.
I feel like some of these holes just aren't realistic
Hole 8 did Drew so dirty lmfao
Ok, please help a noob out... please defined circle 1 and circle 2. Thx in advance.
LuckySlydog - about 33' and 66'. Just a touch shorter on both, but that's a close ballpark.
Chris Goodrich thx. So aprox 30 & 65 ish feet.
LuckySlydog - Circle 1: 10 meters from the basket. Circle 2: 20 meters.
I come for the disc golf. I stay for the Big Sexy Commentary.
"Scatterplot of Euclapyti" - the name of the next great Ska band. :)
Really nothing better than watching Double G crush.
Amazing job again guys! Always waiting for new uploads from you guys. You always save my day!! Keep up the good work. :)
I'm so happy to see a fellow MVP player finally on Jomez! Fan for life Faes!
Great commentary as always, love seeing the pros throw big on this course! Come on tho Nate, De La Top of the World has to be the most beautiful tee shot on tour..
Not again! Not again!
Drew rolling away from the basket on hole 8 three times in a row made me so anxious...
UCLA headband me thinks
Pretty interesting, unusual and diverse course compared to most courses shaped around ball golf courses. A little rough around the edges due to recent preparation. Excellent camera and commentary work, as usual. My compliments. :-)
34:30 An Eagle on an Eagle hole?
Eucalupti!!! 👍
12:31 ..."a scatterplot of eucalypti" That's how I know you've read my past comments, Big Jerm! :)
Nuggs fan here, and 2016 was a fairly good year to see the growth of some youngsters (Jokic, Harris, Murray). Glad The Faeserbeam agrees and represented.
Fuck the two meter rule
For the two meter rule, I know in local tournamets on the Out of town course we make of have made a single old Cottonwood tree permanent Two meter rule but just that tree with a ribbon way up on the tree. However in recent years it it is just the gap in that tree and rest of the rough that is unplayable like that had been before with the 2 meter rule that has an odd drop spot behind the tree, as go that line shaves off 50 feet of play that is the way the course hole was designed to be play.
Good to see Paul locked up that sponsorship with Dasani Water. I can already see the commercials now: “tastes great, feels good in the hand, very predictable.”
Love it. Happy to see some MVP love on Jomez. That late flip on 9 was insane
TEAM MVP!!!!
Good to see some gryo on the card!
Thank you for the vid where I could watch Paul McBeth. I love to watch Paul crush em and win em.
I am guessing the Faes headband represents UCLA--after seeing his teeshirt on The Price is Right
I think that is a sweet Flint Tropics headband!
Lol did jerm read my comment about eucalypti last week?
"Thin Young Bird"

Digging the Richie Tenenbaum look - gonna try that out on my next league day
How is this feature card selected?
Eucalypti. Nice
Absolutely top drawer commentary lads!
Yikes, hole 8, nooooooooooooo...
I love the coverage and love the commentary, but I disagree with Jerm and Sexton when it comes to some of the harder par 3s they have commented on during the tourneys they've commented on. On hole 4 they are not thrilled with it being a par 3, because of the difficulty level. However, I think there should be at least a hole or 2 on each course that just really isn't realistic to birdie, where even the top pros have to work to come away with their par. On hole 4, 3 out of the 4 players ended up with par by putting 2 good shots to the basket and the only one to take a bogey was Faes, with that drive that went OB in the bunker. No, those type of holes won't ever be exciting for scoring opportunities, but it's a skillset that the pros need to display.
UCLA headband. Hence the UCLA shirt on Price is Right
Its time to explaine that two meter roule. Big thanks from Sweden.
803.08 Disc Above Or Below the Playing Surface: A. If a disc comes to rest above the playing surface in a tree or other obstacle on the course, its lie shall be marked on the playing surface directly below it. If the point directly below the disc above the playing surface is an out-of-bounds area, the disc shall be declared out-of-bounds and marked and penalized in accordance with 803.09. If the playing surface directly below the disc is inside a tree or other solid obstacle, the lie shall be marked on the line of play immediately behind the tree or other solid obstacle. The director may designate a one throw penalty for discs that come to rest two meters or higher above the playing surface. The director may declare the two meter rule to be in effect for the entire course, or just for individual obstacles. In short, if the tournament organizer notes it before the tourney starts, you can be saddled with a 1-stroke penalty if your disc comes to rest more than 2 meters off the ground, either in certain spots or on the whole course.
I started watching disc golf coverage about a month and a half ago and made the mistake of my first couple being Jomez productions. Totally spoiled it for other coverage out there because Jomez is far and away the best. Thanks and keep up the awesome work.
Lmao 😂 Nate Sexton is always coming with the heat during the commentary big sexy is literally the best 💪 keep it up you guys
yo jomez, just thought how cool would it be to record the distance of the big drives and flash them as a pop up! kinda like how the putting distance pop up shows the distance every now n then.
I’m thinking Jeff’s headband colors are for UCLA. He was rocking a UCLA shirt in the price is right footage.
What up Joe from the Disc Golf Podcast! Missed a new episode this week.
UCLA headband all the way. He was wearing a UCLA shirt in the Price is Right Clip. Killing it with the Happy Gilmore references. Maybe Drew was getting heckled on that par 4?!?
"Bwahhh, bwaahh, bwaahhh, bwaahh." Omg, seriously, are you watching disc golf again?.. least inconsipicuous video opening music ever.
Garrett has some of the best approach shots I've ever seen!!!
"Here we go... yeah babe" and you can hear Jeremy face palming :D
#9.... calm down drew. geez what a throw
Big-Sexy IS the voice of disc golf!!! Love the Jomez flashback!!!
It makes me SO STOKED to open FIstream and see a new Jomez!!!
In the wrong unlucky moment, even laying up to an elevated basket on a slope can cost you dearly. Last tournament, I laid up for my drop-in par - 3, and took a quadruple bogie - 7, and was only just saved from penalty strokes by the disc hitting my bag - twice. It was a bit windy, but not too extreme. Just bad luck - over and over again. Quintuple-putting goes beyond hurting, and becomes comedy gold. :)
If your disc hit your own bag you should have taken a penalty on each occurrence
While most may mistakenly have mistaken the colors on the head band as those of the Original champion Lakers or that of the 2016 “missed it by that much” Nuggets, the head band is in fact in support of THE Jackie Moon (creator of the alley-ooo) and his Flint Tropics. His mother was an angel, and wanted them to win that game.
Maybe one day I can drive half as well as drew XD
JoMez is the only way to watch coverage of the events! Fingers crossed for highlights and top 10!
Thanks for the coverage, Jomez crew. Your hard work makes it look so easy!
Love seeing Gibson do badly. Makes my day
Steve Bakster thanks. Much appreciated. Tied for 4th isn’t all that bad!! #KeepTheLoveComing 😁😁😁
I can’t believe how far they throw. Crazy
Faes has the best looking caddy I’ve ever seen! #thediscgolfpodcast
Shane Kirby thanks buddy
No JomeZPro hats left! Send me one guys
FFFAAAAEEEEESSSS!
Them 2016 nuggets though
Because I'm easily swayed by a multitude of advertising placards, I now have a Sexton Grip6 belt en route. Jerm, I got you on the next one.
Mike you won't regret this decision
I've been on the stage at Price is Right too. But sadly not as a contestant. Only to dance during a commercial break. Still fun though.
Way to keep your composure there, Drew.
good stuff guys
Appreciate the Minneapolis Lakers love there!
Holy crap Drews drive on 9.
26:55 I can't stop replaying this :D
Awesome coverage!
That was unfortunate to have that awesome putt by Jeff on 7 spoiled...
32:51 the ol foot golf pin. Never knew that sport existed.
"Scatter plot of eucalyptai ", for the win! You guys are the best.
Sup, Big Sexy. Have a good Memorial day weekend.
Don't understand a sport that doesn't play most of its championships on actual disc golf courses. Instead we play, if I had to guess over 80% of the time, on temporary courses on ball golf courses. There are plenty of courses you could play on and actually support the local dg community. Makes no sense. Sure a lot of courses are not really set up for a lot of people to watch but oh well that is just the way it is. There still are plenty of courses to choose from.
Gleneagles is a permanent disc golf course on a ball golf course.
The only difference between my game and Drew’s is my three putts are all from 15 feet with no rolls
Big Jerm making me wanna buy some tour series!
Omg Drew NOOOOO
That head band is definitely representing UCLA, no Lakers love there
Woot woot jacksonville open! Haha sorry Jax rarely gets any air play gotta rep it when it does!! Thanks McBeth!
John Evans you again 🤔
